1. The Service

SmartPedigrees lets cat breeders and clubs create, design, and manage pedigrees, including AI-assisted extraction of pedigree data from uploaded documents. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and verify your email address. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old.

3. Free trial

New workspaces may start a free trial of 3 days. A valid payment card is required to begin the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan begins automatically and your card is charged the plan price at the end of the trial. If you use up your trial allowance early, you may choose to start your paid plan immediately.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown in EUR and include applicable taxes. Each plan includes monthly usage allowances (for example AI extractions and pedigrees) and workspace limits (for example designs and client folders). Allowances reset at each monthly renewal; one-time limits remain in use until items are removed.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing settings. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the next renewal. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to bypass usage limits, reverse engineer the Service, upload unlawful content, or use it to infringe the rights of others. You retain ownership of the content and data you upload; you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service.

6. AI extraction, output, and processing times

AI extraction is provided on a best-effort basis and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated pedigree data before relying on it.

Generating or extracting a pedigree typically takes around 30 seconds, but it can take longer — sometimes more than a minute. Processing time depends on factors outside our control or that vary by request, such as your internet connection and upload speed, the size and quality of the document you upload, the complexity of the pedigree, and the current load on the AI provider. These times are estimates only; we do not guarantee any specific processing or turnaround time, and occasional delays do not constitute a failure of the Service.

7. Availability and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; data handling is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified through the Service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the courts of Bulgaria have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
